Lynn Hamlin, Registered Nurse, Reiki Master Practitioner, Certified Emotion Code Practitioner
Education & Training
I received my Reiki Master Teacher status in 1997 after practicing for 4 years in Arizona and Maine. I also hold a certificate as an Emotion Code practitioner which I received from training with Dr. Bradley Nelson.
In addition to my work in the holistic healing arts, I have worked in the medical field since 1978. I began my medical career as a Certified Operating Room Technician, graduating from Maine Medical Center, in Portland, Maine. I was in the Army for 10 years as an Operating Room Technician. I then went on to obtain an Associate Degree in Nursing in 1996, from Pima Community College, in Tucson, Arizona. I have worked as a Registered nurse on medical/surgical floors, Hospice and the Operating Room for the last 20 years.
Throughout my career in medicine, I have had the opportunity, using my holistic approach to health and well-being, to assist patients and clients, by integrating Reiki, when medical interventions were not enough. I have experience both in and out of the hospital setting using Reiki and visioning for pain control, stress relief, anxiety, depression as well as physical injuries. I was the first Reiki practitioner to get referrals from workers compensation for their clients at Stephens Memorial Hospital, in Norway, Maine. I have worked a lot with kids and sports injuries. I have volunteered at Camp Sunshine, in Maine, offering sessions to the parents of children with terminal illnesses, for relaxation and stress relief.
During my time working as a home hospice nurse back East, I integrated Reiki into that work to assist clients with nausea control, pain, both physical and emotional, and to acquire deep states of relaxation in order to peacefully make their transition. In the past 18 years I have integrated the Reiki healing into my work as an Operating Room nurse to balance the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies to provide for the best possible outcomes for the patients.
After all of my years in medicine I have a very strong passion and interest in giving people additional choices outside of medical and pharmaceutical interventions in their health and well-ness journey.
